A must see is the Port Caltom's Reef Bar where guests can lounge and enjoy while having their perfect drink or they can simply swim and snorkel from the bar. What's also enchanting are the mangroves surrounding the resort where you can kayak around and peek upon the surrounding environment.  Guests can also hike at the resort and look beyond the lakes, sea and islands beneath it.
El Rio y Mar also offers diving trips to nearby World War II Shipwrecks, the nearest shipwreck is Kyokuzan Maru which is 30min away from El Rio y Mar. It's a spectacular wreck and visibility is excellent as compared to most wrecks in Coron town. El Rio y Mar is one of the only 2 resorts outside of Mindoro that can offer daytrips to Apo Reef. Apo Reef is the second largest contiguous coral reef in the world and the largest one in the Philippines. It's only 3 hours away from the resort so guests can do it for the day. To dive Apo Reef, guests would normally have to go via liveaboard. We can do it in a day and again, guests return to the comforts of a full-service resort. El Rio y Mar Resort is one of the two resorts in the country that offer effective Dugong-Watching trips. Dugong-watching, a professionally produced ecotourism    activity, takes divers and non-divers along the lengthy coast of Busuanga to see gentle dugongs in the wild.

How To Get There

You can reach Maricaban Bay by a 60-minute flight from Manila or via Superferry to Coron. From Busuanga Airport, you take a 30-minute jeepney ride and a 20-minute boat ride.
